Chris Amante is a professional research assistant collaborating with NCEI through the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) of the University of Colorado (CU) Boulder. Chris is building integrated bathymetric-topographic digital elevation models (DEMs), and developing methods for quantifying the uncertainty in the DEMs. Chris earned his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross in Environmental Studies with a minor in Physics. Chris previously worked at NCEI through CIRES as a graduate research assistant, during which time he received his Masters degree in Geography from CU Boulder. He is currently working towards completing his PhD in Geography at CU Boulder.
